Managing Hexane Vapor Concentration During Reactor Cleaning

Hexane is a highly volatile solvent widely used for cleaning chemical synthesis reactors, but elevated temperatures during cleaning cause rapid evaporation and high vapor accumulation.

This creates serious flammability and explosion hazards, along with health risks like headaches, dizziness, and central nervous system damage.

To keep vapor concentrations safely below the lower explosive limit (LEL), GT SCIEN provides Toxic Gas Purifiers equipped with specialized VOC-removal TOGA® filters.

As demonstrated in a case study with K Chemical, installing GT SCIEN’s movable purifier near the emission source at 40°C captures solvent vapors directly at the point of origin, ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workspace.
